Meet the Fogleman family. I’ve known Mike for years and actually play in a band with him these days. We both have been in numerous bands, and it’s great that we actually get to play some country music together. You can check it out here. I was flattered when he asked me to do some portraits of his family for Christmas, and I’m so glad I got to. Dylan is just about the cutest thing ever – especially in his little hat. I had really good time hanging out for the afternoon and getting to take some pictures of this little guy. Thanks so much Mike, Rachel, and Dylan. You guys are awesome. Enjoy.

This was the last wedding I shot in 2009 and it couldn’t have been a better one to end the year on. Jessica and Marc were married in a beautiful little chapel in downtown Greenville, SC and had their reception at the incredible Poinsett Hotel. The whole day was so relaxed, and they were such a pleasure to work with. The wedding was perfectly intimate — the couple was surrounded by their closest friends and family. Thanks to Jessica and Marc for a great day and letting me be a part of it. Thanks to Wes for helping me out on this one too! Enjoy. This first image is of the wedding planner’s notebook.

love this one of Jessica peaking thru to see who was there

the hotel was nice enough to let us get on the roof for a few! they have an awesome neon sign that you can see for miles

congrats jessica & marc!

I met up with Amy and Cory a couple weeks ago for their engagement shoot and we drove around Decatur and found some great spots to capture some great moments. I think these two made me laugh more than any other client. I’m normally focused on getting them to laugh so I can capture it in the picture, but instead, I had to focus on actually taking the pictures instead of laughing the whole time. Thanks for a great session and I can’t wait for your wedding in May. Enjoy!

I absolutely love these ginko trees and I have to give amy & cory credit for putting up with these trees cause – man, they stink!

A little shooting thru the leaf fun

thanks again amy & cory

Ben & Brooke’s wedding was a true delight. I always love the chance to get to work with friends, and these two put on the best DIY wedding I could think of. Brooke made her dress, made her cake toppers, made her flowers (out of felt!), and pretty much everything else. If you saw it at their wedding, Ben and Brooke probably made it. Make sure you check out Brooke’s company – So She Sews – she has amazing products. The ceremony was beautiful and was held at Sacred Heart Catholic church -which has an amazing sanctuary. The reception was held at Octane coffee on the westside of town, and they turned that place into the coolest spot for dancing, cake eating, and an all around good time. Thanks so much Ben and Brooke for letting me be a part of your day. Enjoy!

here’s the man responsible – if you ever need a DJ – he’s the best – Beats & Bells

congrats ben & brooke!
jen & chris’ wedding took place at Rock Quarry Farms – a beautiful bed n’ breakfast near Chapel Hill, NC. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding and I loved all of their little touches on everything. Neither of them like cake, so they had everyone bring a pie to the ceremony in exchange for wedding cake. Instead of vases, or pots – they used beer bottles. Jen bought her dress at Goodwill!! – I simply couldn’t believe it when I finally got to see it. Although all of those things were great, I think my favorite part was their interaction together. They were so natural, fun, and just a pleasure to be around. Thanks for letting me be a part of this wonderful day. I also have to give a big thanks to Oscar for assisting with me on this wedding and helping out so much. Enjoy!

jen rode up to the aisle in this – a gorgeous truck – loved this shot of her dad helping her out of it.

jump!

they had an awesome bluegrass band play during the reception. i loved these guys.

cut the pie, flip the pie, catch the pie (nice one, jen)

thanks jen & chris.

Meet the Patterson’s! I met this lovely family on a rainy Sunday afternoon a couple a weeks back to do some family portraits. I was really honored because these were little Carter’s first pictures! As you’ll be able to see, he was more than excited to have his picture taken. We spent the afternoon talking and hanging out at their lovely house in Flowery Branch, GA and I had a wonderful time getting to know this family and their little guy. Enjoy!

I loved all of his expressions!

Thanks again, Patterson’s!
Christen and Parke are a great couple. I met them a few months back when we met up to do their engagement pictures and had a great time getting to know them. My favorite thing about the wedding I think was the wedding party – the biggest I’ve ever shot! 10 groomsmen and 7 bridesmaids! It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed all of the love and interaction with friends on this special day. The wedding was held at the Roswell Presbyterian Church, and the reception was at the Chastain Horse Park. Enjoy.

the church was just beautiful

i love this one my wonderful assistant Cat caught!

loved this little guy

last dance!

and they’re off!!!

congrats christen and parke! thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
Ben + Brooke have been good friends of Kate and I for the last couple years, but I’ve known Ben since I was in high school. Ben and I run in some of the same circles in the coffee world, and we both share a love for vinyl – that’s right, records. Brooke is super talented seamstress and has great creative ideas – I use one of her wallets every day – check out her site. I’m so excited for their wedding day because Brooke is making her own wedding dress!!! I know it will be so beautiful, and I can’t wait for it. Congrats you guys – or as Ben would say “I’m so pumped”. Enjoy!

then we headed to the Majestic – the site of one of their first dates for some more photos.

Right before I went out to meet Molly and Paul for this shoot – I was worried because it started raining off and on. Luckily, the rain cleared right out just before we started, and it ended up cooling off a little bit, and left everything a little greener! Molly and Paul are a great couple with a genuine love for one another. Their wedding sounds beautiful and I can’t wait for it – and especially to meet their little guy – Griffin! We talked a lot about wedding planning in general (since I’m in the middle of that as well) – and it was really nice to be able to connect with them on some of the same things. Enjoy!

I was lucky enough to have my fiance – Kate – help me out with this idea i’ve been wanting to try for a while!

congrats molly and paul! – I can’t wait for your wedding in September!
