i was about to leave for a european tour with a band when it occurred to me that i didn’t have a camera. i bought a DSLR (a point-and-shoot just didn’t seem worthy of the guinness factory), and photography quickly became more than a hobby for me. when i got back to atlanta, i started assisting some local wedding photographers, and it clicked.
i love working with happy people on the best day of their life. i love that no two weddings are the same. i love the energy that goes into weddings. i love the tiny details that take so much work. i love the range of wedding-day emotions—excitement, nervousness, pride, hope, exhaustion, joy. i love capturing those feelings with my camera.
i live in atlanta with my wife, kate, and great dane, leon. i book a limited number of weddings per year because i’m usually shooting with my favorite atlanta photographer, w. scott chester. (he took our wedding photos. you can see them here.) i’m also available to photograph families, pets, kids, professionals
and more.
